MyLife Edinburgh’s Fundraiser for Marie Curie

Marie Curie's Wonderful Fundraiser with MyLife Edinburgh

At MyLife Edinburgh, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional care directly within the homes of our service users in the UK. Our commitment to excellence is matched by our dedication to community engagement and charitable endeavours. We are pleased to share that our team participated in Marie Curie’s “Go Yellow” day on the 21st of March.

About Marie Curie

Marie Curie is a charity organisation that provides care and support to people with terminal illnesses, such as cancer. They offer a range of services, including nursing care, hospice care, and support for families. The charity was named after the famous scientist Marie Curie, known for her pioneering work in the field of radioactivity.

Marie Curie charity aims to ensure that individuals with terminal illnesses receive the best possible care and support during their difficult times. They have a team of dedicated nurses who provide hands-on care to patients in their homes or in hospices, helping to manage symptoms and improve quality of life.

In addition to nursing care, Marie Curie offers emotional support to patients and their families, helping them cope with the challenges that come with terminal illness. They also provide practical assistance, such as helping with daily tasks and offering guidance on end-of-life care.

The charity relies on donations and fundraising efforts to continue providing their vital services to those in need. By supporting Marie Curie, individuals can contribute to ensuring that people with terminal illnesses receive compassionate care and support during their final days.

Marie Curie’s “Go Yellow”

Marie Curie’s “Go Yellow” day is a special event organised by the charity to raise awareness and funds for their important work supporting people with terminal illnesses.

On this day, supporters are encouraged to wear yellow and take part in various activities to show their support for the cause. It’s a vibrant and uplifting way to bring attention to the crucial services provided by Marie Curie.

MyLife Edinburgh’s Fundraising

The MyLife Edinburgh team, embracing the compassionate ethos of Marie Curie, joined in on this initiative. Each team member incorporated a touch of yellow into their workwear, symbolising warmth, positivity, and solidarity with those in need.

Our combined efforts with our sister companies, Call-In Homecare, Ailsa Care and Ailsa Response were channelled through our JustGiving page, with a fundraising target of £500. Thanks to the generosity of our team and supporters, we exceeded our goal, raising a total of £540! This will go a long way in providing essential services and support to individuals and families facing terminal illnesses. It is a testament to the kindness and generosity of our staff members and supporters who came together to make a positive impact with their participation.

The successful fundraising efforts of our team for Marie Curie’s “Go Yellow” day highlights the power of collective action in making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. We express our sincere gratitude to all participants and donors who contributed to this cause.

Your support enables us to continue making a difference in the lives of those who need it most. We hope that our fundraising efforts serve as an inspiration for others to get involved and contribute to the well-being of those in need.
